The Laurens County Humane Society (LCHS) is a 501(c)3 tax exempt nonprofit which was founded by volunteers who recognized the need in our community to serve both the people and our animals in need.
It is our mission to improve conditions for animals and to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Laurens County by assisting in pet adoption, ownership, and care.

This has been an extremely busy year for us. Wonderful donors have helped us toward our goal of providing a shelter for our homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats. We are looking forward to it’s projected opening in Fall of 2015. Unlike many other shelters around the country, LCHS will never euthanize because of space or time constraints.
